g the size of the firm，the resources owned by firm and the competitive environment. Insights extracted from the resource dependence approach, dynamic fit, and strategic choice theories are synergized to explore the strategies of Chinese enterprises and the relationship among strategy, environment, and performance. We promote benchmark management as a tool for firms to build their routines through which resources can be linked to activities. Benchmark system can also be used to develop organizational structure, improve mangagment skills and create performance evaluation system. Recurring to the use of local cases, the book builds a framework of benchmark management system for Chinese enterprises to learn their outstanding competitors or world-class enterprises. The book can also be used as reference of EMBA, MBA, mangement courses at business school and other continuous education programs.
